EA Play includes only selected content, while sales, bundles and Stack & Save can lower the cost without making the full catalog free.
What is free in The Sims 4?
EA says the base game has been free to play since October 18, 2022. EA lists the EA app, Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S as supported options; Mac players can use the EA app. Check EA’s current platform and installation requirements before downloading: EA’s free-to-play guide.

The free offer is for the base game, not its full add-on catalog. EA sells Expansion Packs and other DLC separately, and says some cross-pack features require additional DLC: The Sims 4 store and The Sims 4 product page.
Does EA Play give you every pack?
No. EA’s guide lists Get to Work as an EA Play benefit. EA Play Pro includes Get to Work and Kids Room Stuff. These are selected membership benefits, not permanent ownership of every add-on. EA Play also advertises a discount on eligible EA digital purchases; membership terms and benefits can change. See EA’s EA Play membership guide and EA Play for current details.

Ways to pay less for packs

How to check an offer before buying
- Open the official store for your region. Review the listed pack, bundle or sale and confirm the platform or store it supports.
- For Stack & Save, check eligibility in the EA app. The offer is limited to PC and Mac players using the EA app, and not every content type qualifies.
- Compare the final checkout total. Do not assume Stack & Save combines with a sale or EA Play discount; EA says those discounts cannot be combined with it.
- If considering EA Play, review the current membership terms. Confirm which content is included and remember access depends on membership rather than owning the entire catalog.
What about the official Marketplace?
EA’s Marketplace includes packs and creator content. EA says some creator content uses Moola, while Expansion, Game and Stuff Packs and Kits use real-world currency. Marketplace access does not mean all packs are free; see EA’s Marketplace guide.

The cited EA store and help pages do not establish an official route to every pack for free. That does not rule out a temporary or regional promotion appearing later, so check EA’s live store and offer terms for your region rather than relying on a claim that one pack, membership or discount unlocks everything.
