To sell a car in Need for Speed Payback, go to a garage, highlight the car in a garage slot, choose Sell Car, and review the displayed bank value before confirming. The game’s garage reference says the sale also includes the car’s associated Speed Cards and visual parts, so check what is attached before proceeding.
Sell a car from a garage slot
- Enter a garage.
- Highlight the car you want to sell in one of the garage slots.
- Choose Sell Car from that car’s garage options. Follow the on-screen prompt; the exact button or key can vary by platform.
- Review the displayed bank value and confirm only if you are ready to sell the car and its associated items.

Check what goes with the car
According to the garage reference, selling a vehicle awards in-game bank and sells its associated Speed Cards and visual parts as well. Do not assume those items will remain in your inventory after the sale. Review the selected vehicle and displayed value before confirming.
If the car is in the warehouse
The sale option is attached to a highlighted car in a garage slot. If the vehicle is in the warehouse, use Swap With Warehouse to move it into a garage slot, then select it and choose Sell Car. The garage reference describes swapping cars between garage slots and the warehouse: Need for Speed Wiki: Garages.

Take extra care with special cars
The same game reference says a prompt appears before selling a Derelict, but not for abandoned, downloadable-content, or unique vehicles. Since those cars may not receive an additional warning, verify your selection and the displayed value carefully. EA identifies Derelicts as a special vehicle category in its Derelict cars overview.
