Wear accessories from your inventory on a phone
- Open the Roblox mobile app and go to your inventory.
- Select an accessory you want to wear.
- Set Wear This to Yes.
- Open each additional accessory and repeat. To take an item off, set its slider to No.
Roblox’s mobile instructions describe wearing items individually; they do not identify a single “wear all” control. See Roblox’s guide to viewing your mobile inventory.

Use Advanced to exceed a category’s soft limit
Roblox’s browser avatar editor describes category limits as soft limits: its example is wearing more than three hats. To add items beyond a category’s regular selection limit, use Advanced and enter the Asset IDs for the accessories. Roblox states that this field accepts up to 10 items by Asset ID.
- Open the avatar editor in a browser and choose the relevant accessory category, such as hats, hair, or face.
- Select Advanced.
- Enter the Asset IDs of the items you want to combine.
Roblox documents this Asset ID control in the browser editor, not as a feature available in every version of the phone app. For the documented flow, use the browser avatar customization instructions.

Find the avatar editor on a tablet
- Tap More at the bottom of the Roblox app.
- Tap Me to open the avatar area. During the regional rename rollout, the tab may still say Avatar.
- Use the avatar editor to dress your character.
Roblox’s mobile guide describes the tablet editor separately from the phone inventory-slider steps. It does not confirm that the browser editor’s Advanced Asset ID field appears in the tablet or phone app. Check the browser editor if you need that control. You can obtain avatar items through Roblox’s catalog in the mobile app; buying more items is not required to wear accessories already in your inventory. Roblox notes that some heads and hats may not fit together perfectly, though you can still combine them for different looks. Its browser editor also offers a Redraw link below the avatar image if the character does not display correctly after adding or removing an item.
