How to Turn On Joins in Roblox

To let other players join you in Roblox, change the audience under Show current experience. Open Settings > Privacy & content restrictions > Visibility & private servers > Visibility, then choose who can see the experience you are playing. The options available vary by age and region.

Turn on joins in Roblox

1. Open Settings. On desktop, select the gear icon in the upper-right corner. On mobile, tap More in the lower-right corner, then tap Settings.
2. Go to Privacy & content restrictions > Visibility & private servers > Visibility.
3. Under Show current experience, choose the audience you want to allow to see what you are playing and join you. Roblox lists options such as friends, trusted friends, followers, users you follow, no one, and everyone, but not every account has every option. Roblox Support’s Online Status and Visibility guide describes this control as choosing who sees the experience you are currently playing and who can join you.

How someone joins your experience

The other player can search for your username or open your profile. If you are currently in an experience and your settings allow people to follow you, Join Experience can appear in search results or on your profile. They can select it to join you, provided they also have permission to enter that particular experience. Roblox’s guide to following or joining another player explains the join process.

If someone still cannot join

• Check that the intended audience is selected under Show current experience.
• Make sure you are in an experience and that your join setting allows people to follow you; otherwise, Join Experience may not appear.
• Check whether the joining player is allowed to access that experience. Your visibility setting does not override the experience’s own access permissions.

Xbox family-account restrictions

For a child playing Roblox through an Xbox family account, multiplayer and user-created-content controls can also block access. The family account manager can review them in Xbox settings: open Privacy & Online Safety > Xbox Live privacy > View Details & Customize. Under Communication & multiplayer, allow You can join multiplayer experiences; under Experience Content, set You can see and share content to Everybody.
