Where is the Junk Pit?
The Junk Pit is a cavernous sub-area of Royal Waterways, close to Flukemarm’s arena. Debris carried by the Waterways currents fills the cavern; it also contains Geo chests, Geo deposits, paintings, and a statue resembling the one associated with Monarch Wings. How to get into the Junk Pit
- Go to the ground below the Royal Waterways bench.
- Break through the ground. Use Desolate Dive or Descending Dark to open the route to the deeper Waterways passage.
- Find the breakable roof near Flukemarm’s arena. Strike it to enter the Junk Pit. A player-authored Steam guide also locates the breakable passage in western Waterways above Flukemarm’s arena. Hollow Knight Wiki: Godhome · Steam community guide
How to unlock Godhome from the Junk Pit
- Bring a Simple Key. Open the golden cocoon in the Junk Pit with any Simple Key; it is not a special named key. The key is consumed when used. Hollow Knight Wiki: Simple Key
- Collect the Godtuner. Freeing Godseeker causes the Godtuner to drop. Hollow Knight Wiki: Godtuner
- Use the Dream Nail on Godseeker. This opens the route into Godhome. Hollow Knight Wiki: Godseeker
If you need a key, the wiki lists four obtainable Simple Keys: one sold by Sly for 950 Geo, one in City of Tears, one in Ancient Basin, and one dropped by Pale Lurker in a hidden area behind the Colosseum of Fools. Because keys are single-use, consider other locked uses before spending one on the cocoon. Hollow Knight Wiki: Simple Key
What else can you find in the Junk Pit?
Besides Godseeker’s cocoon, the area has exploration loot, including two Geo deposits and six Geo chests; one of the chests contains Lumaflies. A breakable wall at the top of the cavern connects to City of Tears beneath the Nailsmith’s forge. Hollow Knight Wiki: Junk Pit
