The September 1, 2021 date was a reported expectation, not the launch date of a completed, playable CryptoZoo game. A community timeline records earlier NFT and dApp milestones, but those entries do not establish that the advertised game was delivered. In January 2024, Logan Paul announced that the game would never be released, according to a later federal court order. The 2021 ZOO token buying instructions are historical; current availability and a safe purchase route have not been established.
Was CryptoZoo released on September 1, 2021?
No. On August 31, 2021, TechTimes reported that CryptoZoo was expected to be released on September 1, citing the project website at the time. That was a forecast, not evidence that the promised game launched then. TechTimes’ 2021 report is useful for understanding what readers were told before the expected date, but it should not be read as confirmation of eventual delivery.

What CryptoZoo milestones followed the September date?
CryptoZoo World, a community-made site, records several separate milestones. Its timeline is an account from that community site, not independent verification that a fully functional game matching the advertised promise was available.
| Date | Milestone | What the source establishes |
|---|---|---|
| July 21, 2021 | ZOO token launch and egg presale | Listed by the CryptoZoo World community timeline. |
| September 3, 2021 | Launch of 10,000 Genesis Eggs and a CryptoZoo dApp | Listed by the community timeline; this does not establish delivery of the promised playable game. |
| October 17, 2021 | dApp went live | Listed by the community timeline; it is not proof of a complete game matching the advertised concept. |
| January 4, 2024 | Paul announced the game would never be released, citing regulatory hurdles | Recounted in a July 7, 2025 federal court order. |
The timeline entries come from CryptoZoo World’s timeline. The court order’s account of Paul’s announcement is in Holland v. CryptoZoo, Inc. et al., dated July 7, 2025.

Can you still buy ZOO token?
The available information does not establish whether ZOO is currently available to trade, which contract is current, whether it has liquidity, or whether any exchange supports a safe purchase. For that reason, the old buying instructions should not be treated as a current how-to.
TechTimes’ 2021 article told readers to use Trust Wallet, obtain BNB, and transfer BNB to the wallet before following a separate guide for ZOO. Those steps describe what the article recommended at the time; they do not verify that the route, token contract, or trading conditions remain valid. Read the original 2021 instructions only as historical context, and do not rely on them to identify or purchase a token today.

What did the 2024 CryptoZoo buyback cover?
CryptoZoo World’s community article says Paul announced a buyback at original purchase price for Base Egg and Base Animal NFTs, with claims due by February 8, 2024. It says ZOO token holders were excluded. The deadline has passed, so this is not a current claim option. The community article reproduces Paul’s statement: “Today, I am incredibly happy to announce that I am delivering on my promise to buy back Base Egg and Base Animal CryptoZoo NFTs for their original purchase price.” CryptoZoo World’s buyback summary is the source for the offer details and quotation.
What does the court order say about the dispute?
The July 7, 2025 order concerns a defendant’s challenge to personal jurisdiction and recounts the lawsuit’s background; it is not a final ruling on whether the plaintiffs’ allegations are true. The order summarizes plaintiffs’ account that the buyback was limited to certain NFT categories and did not make eligible holders whole. Allegations concerning deception, market manipulation, or losses must therefore be described as plaintiffs’ claims, not established court findings. The order does not establish the complete status of the litigation as of October 8, 2026.
