Keo Ruug Shrine’s “Fateful Stars” puzzle is solved by counting each constellation on the far wall and putting its orb in the row matching that count. The main gate sequence, read left to right, is 5, 3, 1, 2. The optional chest uses a separate display and the sequence 4, 2, 2, 1.
How the Fateful Stars puzzle works
Keo Ruug Shrine is in Korok Forest, beside the Great Deku Tree and near the Master Sword. The in-game clue says, “Look to the stars for guidance. The constellations are key.”
Each of the four markers in the room shows a constellation. Find that same shape on the large constellation display on the far wall and count how many times it appears. Put the marker’s orb into the row with that number. Side lights or pillars indicate the numbered rows, from one through five.
Main gate solution
For the four markers, read from left to right across the room, place the orbs in these rows:

With all four orbs in those slots, the main gate opens.

To open the chest gate, inspect the additional constellation display near the monk and altar area. Return to the orb room and use this sequence, again reading the markers from left to right:

The chest contains a Knight’s Claymore. Afterward, interact with Keo Ruug at the altar to receive the Spirit Orb and complete the shrine.
