On a computer, Roblox’s familiar default controls are W/A/S/D to move and Space to jump. The exact controls can differ by experience, so use that experience’s in-game Help menu when a key does not work.
Default Roblox keyboard controls on PC
Roblox documents these common computer inputs. An experience may change how some controls work.

These default bindings and reserved inputs are listed in Roblox Creator Hub’s Input documentation. Roblox Support describes camera and equipment behavior in its guides to experience settings and Help and using gear and the backpack.
Why controls differ between Roblox experiences
Roblox does not require every experience to use one identical control scheme. Its documented computer movement modes include keyboard-and-mouse, click-to-move, and scriptable controls; developers can configure movement or build custom controls for their experience. That means a key may behave differently—or not be available—in a particular game. Camera options can also depend on the experience’s settings, including whether its developer has locked the camera mode.
Find the controls for the experience you are playing
- While in the experience, press Esc to open the Roblox menu.
- Select Help to view that experience’s keyboard shortcuts and mouse instructions. The Help menu can also include smartphone gestures.
- Check Settings for movement or camera options available to you in that experience.

What to check when a key does not work
- Confirm the context: these are computer controls for use inside a Roblox experience. Try W/A/S/D and Space.
- Open Help: press Esc, then select Help to check the current experience’s instructions.
- Review available settings: look for movement or camera choices in the experience’s Settings.
- Check equipment details: use the number displayed on an inventory slot to equip an item, then consult its description for any special function.
- Account for custom controls: if the listed defaults still do not match, the experience may use configured movement or its own controls.
