Lords of the Fallen II is currently planned for Q1 2027, according to CI Games’ latest development-schedule update, dated 23 June 2026. The in-development soulslike action-RPG is announced for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; Nintendo UK also lists a Nintendo Switch 2 version, but CI Games has not given a separate date for that platform.
When does Lords of the Fallen II come out?
CI Games’ latest schedule report targets Q1 2027. The company says the adjusted window gives the team more time for integration, iteration and polishing, and avoids a competitive holiday period. CI Games says the game will continue to use Unreal Engine 5 and Epic Online Services. It has also announced Epic Online Services support for cross-platform play, matchmaking, friends lists and shared-progression co-op. What kind of game is Lords of the Fallen II?
CI Games describes Lords of the Fallen II as a soulslike action-RPG and a sequel to the 2023 game. Its central premise returns to the Umbral Lamp and the distinction between the living world and the dead realm of Umbral. Announced combat and co-op
According to CI Games, combat is being designed to be faster and more maneuverable, with greater weapon variety and fluid switching among melee attacks, ranged attacks and spells. How long after the first game does it take place?
The official descriptions conflict. CI Games’ development article places the story 1,000 years after the fall of the dark god Adyr, while the PlayStation Blog reveal says the sequel takes place 100 years after the first game’s events. Those are different claims and should not be combined into a single timeline. What can safely be said is that Lords of the Fallen II is a sequel set after the 2023 game; the precise elapsed time has not been authoritatively clarified in the cited announcements. That establishes a physical-distribution relationship, but the announcement does not specify which physical versions will be sold, their contents or prices, or whether a particular retailer has a listing or preorder.
