Spoilers for the Storm main quest. To finish Storm, escape Trosky Castle with Godwin, find Sigismund’s orders in Otto von Bergow’s chambers, then cross Apollonia to reach Mika and the wagon. The scribe’s room and Istvan Toth’s chambers are not where the orders are kept.
Storm quest route at a glance
Storm is the twelfth main quest. It closes the Trosky story segment and leads into the Kuttenberg arc; the next listed main quest is The Sword and the Quill. KCD2.org’s main-quest list gives the sequence, while PowerPyx’s Storm walkthrough identifies the quest number and transition.

- Get through Istvan Toth’s interrogation. Staying silent does not prevent the information from being disclosed.
- Regain a weapon if needed and sneak up Crone Tower. Search the scribe’s chamber to advance, but do not expect to find the orders there.
- Deal with Toth by an underhanded kill or a duel.
- Recover Henry’s confiscated gear and the castle keys from Toth’s chambers.
- Return to the Maiden Tower and search Otto von Bergow’s chambers for the orders.
- Follow Godwin through the secret passage and cave to Apollonia.
- Evade the soldiers, free Mika near the abandoned camp, then follow the route past the broken cart to the wagon.
Get through the interrogation
Henry and his allies begin as prisoners in Trosky Castle. Toth questions them about Jobst and Liechtenstein. If Henry answers, he gives up information; if he stays silent long enough, Godwin provides it instead. Katherine then rescues the group and explains that a secret passage can get them out, but Henry needs a key from Toth. The available walkthrough describes the same disclosure and rescue progression regardless of whether Henry speaks. PowerPyx
Climb Crone Tower and search the scribe’s room
Henry starts without his usual equipment. A nearby dead guard can provide a sword and armor. From there, treat the tower section as stealth: use shadows, distractions and takedowns as appropriate while moving upward through Crone Tower.

Search the interactable shelves and chests in the scribe’s chamber to trigger quest progress. The orders are not there, so once the objective advances, continue toward the upper part of the tower rather than repeating the search. PowerPyx and Game Checklists distinguish this progress step from the actual document location.
Choose how to deal with Istvan Toth
When Henry reaches Toth, the main alternatives are an underhanded kill or a duel. The first avoids a fight; the second is a direct combat encounter. Neither route blocks quest progress, and both walkthroughs report that Henry can recover Radzig Kobyla’s longsword afterward. Duel difficulty will depend on Henry’s condition and the player’s skill, rather than being the same for every run.

One walkthrough reports that the choice is mentioned at the game’s ending, so it is safer to choose based on Henry’s characterization and your willingness to fight than to assume the decision has no later narrative reference. Game Checklists; Gamer Guides
Recover Henry’s equipment and the keys
After the encounter, search Toth’s chambers for Henry’s confiscated equipment and the castle keys. This is also not the location of Sigismund’s orders. Re-equip before leaving if you need your gear for the escape.

Return to the Maiden Tower with Godwin and search Otto von Bergow’s chambers. The orders are in a chest in that room. If you have been searching the scribe’s chamber or Toth’s quarters for the document, stop: those rooms serve other quest steps. Gamer Guides

Follow Godwin down to the secret passage and stay with the group through the cave route. The cave opens into Apollonia, where the group learns that Sigismund is massing forces near Kuttenberg.
Reach Mika and the wagon
Soldiers search Apollonia, so avoid torchlight and use the terrain to stay out of sight. Work south toward the abandoned camp where Mika is guarded. Deal with or distract the guard, free Mika and speak with him. Then continue through the rocks toward the broken cart landmark, go uphill between the rocks and follow the southern edge of Apollonia toward the wagon. Guard positions can vary, so use the landmarks and objective direction rather than relying on one fixed patrol placement. The wagon scene completes Storm and starts the Kuttenberg chapter.
