No official announcement confirms that Lara Croft is returning to the Fortnite Item Shop soon. Epic’s current Fortnite news page has no return announcement, and the available December 2026 date is an unofficial statistical forecast—not a leak or confirmed schedule.
What Epic has confirmed about the Lara Croft outfit
Epic’s listing is for Lara Croft (2000s), a Gaming Legends Series outfit described as “A globetrotting archaeologist with a penchant for dangerous adventures.” The listing gives a price of 1,500 V-Bucks and says it was purchasable until August 26, 2026, at midnight local time (GMT+00:00). That cutoff records a past shop window; it does not announce another one. See Epic’s outfit listing.

Epic’s Fortnite News page includes current October and September 2026 announcements but no Lara Croft return announcement. The evidence therefore does not support calling a new return “confirmed” or assigning it an imminent date.
How reliable is the claimed return date?
Epic has not scheduled a return
Epic says the Item Shop rotates and advises players to check back. It also says support cannot grant items or offers that are not currently available. Epic does not promise that a particular cosmetic will return. Epic Support: When will items return to the Fortnite shop?

The December 2026 date is a forecast
FNForecast estimates a December 4, 2026 return and gives October 27, 2026 through January 11, 2027 as a likely window. The site labels these dates as statistical estimates, not guarantees. This is an unofficial forecast, not an Epic schedule or confirmation of a leak. View FNForecast’s Lara Croft (2000s) estimate.
Older leak coverage does not confirm a new return
GameSpot reported on an earlier leak cycle in March 2025, when a possible return was described as coming soon. That report concerns the 2025 claim; it does not substantiate a fresh October 2026 leak. Read GameSpot’s March 2025 report.

Does the Battle Pass return policy apply?
Epic says that, starting with Chapter 5 Season 4, items from a Pass may be offered in the shop after 18 or more months, but their return is not guaranteed. That conditional policy does not establish that this older Lara Croft outfit will return; it is not a scheduled shop date. Read Epic’s guidance on previous Pass items.

No evidence in the announcements links the two. The official Tomb Raider site announced Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, co-developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, for February 12, 2027. That is a separate game announcement, not evidence of Fortnite Item Shop plans. Read the Tomb Raider announcement.
