Yes. World War Z: Aftermath supports PC cross-play, so players using the Epic Games Store and Steam can play together. Saber Interactive lists both as supported PC platforms and confirms PC cross-play in its official FAQ.
Can Epic and Steam players play together?
Yes. The compatibility applies across the two PC storefronts; players do not need to buy the game from the same store to play together. Steam also marks World War Z: Aftermath as supporting cross-platform multiplayer on its store page.

The official store descriptions say co-op supports up to four players: Steam describes co-op for up to four, while Epic says you can join up to three friends. Those descriptions are consistent with a four-player group.
Does cross-play mean your progress carries between stores?
No. Saber says Aftermath does not support cross-progression, so progress is not continuously synchronized between platforms or storefronts. The FAQ describes a one-time save-transfer system; that is a transfer, not ongoing shared progression.

Can Nintendo Switch players join Epic or Steam players?
No. Saber’s FAQ says the Nintendo Switch version does not cross-play with other platforms. Its answer refers to the original World War Z on Switch, so do not treat PC cross-play support as evidence that Switch can join a PC party.
