Choose the Thrustmaster T248 if its built-in display, on-wheel controls, selectable force-feedback presets, and adjustable brake-pressure modes matter most. Choose the Logitech G923 if you want TRUEFORCE feedback and your game supports that feature. First, make sure you select the version compatible with your console: both wheels are sold in separate PlayStation and Xbox variants.
How the T248 and G923 compare
| Decision point | Thrustmaster T248 | Logitech G923 |
|---|---|---|
| Platform versions | Separate PlayStation/PC and Xbox/PC versions. See T248 PlayStation/PC and T248 Xbox/PC. | Separate PlayStation/PC and Xbox/PC versions, according to Logitech’s G923 product page. |
| Feedback system | Hybrid drive with three selectable force-feedback presets, according to Thrustmaster. | Dual-motor force feedback with TRUEFORCE; Logitech lists 2.3 Nm. TRUEFORCE depends on game integration. |
| Rotation | Not stated on the cited Thrustmaster product pages. | 900 degrees lock-to-lock, according to Logitech. |
| Wheel controls | Built-in display with more than 20 options and magnetic paddle shifters. | Logitech lists a rotary control. The cited G923 product page does not list an equivalent built-in dashboard display. |
| Pedals | T3PM magnetic pedals with four brake-pressure modes. | Nonlinear brake pedal. |
| Supported games | Check the platform and game details on Thrustmaster’s T248 support page. | A compatible game is required; check Logitech’s compatibility information and the game’s feature support. |
These are manufacturer-listed specifications and features, not the results of a controlled head-to-head test. The cited material does not establish which wheel feels stronger, is more durable, or offers better value in real-world use.
Choose your console version before comparing features
Both products have separate PlayStation and Xbox versions, with PC compatibility also listed. Do not assume that a wheel made for one console works on the other. Before buying, confirm the exact product variant and verify compatibility with your console and the specific game you plan to play. Platform and game-support details can change, so consult the manufacturers’ current product and support pages.
What the Thrustmaster T248 offers
Thrustmaster describes the T248 as a hybrid-drive wheel with a built-in display for settings or game telemetry. The display has more than 20 listed options, and the wheel offers three force-feedback presets that can be changed on the wheel. It also includes magnetic paddle shifters and a T3PM magnetic pedal set with four brake-pressure modes. These are useful distinctions if you want more adjustment and information directly at the wheel and pedals.
#1 Best Overall
- Premium design with leather wrapping on the outer-facing portion of the wheel
- Versatile wheel shape, well-suited to all racing game styles
- Up to 25 action buttons including 2 dual-position encoders
- Interactive race dashboard with a selection of more than 20 different displays on the wheel’s screen
- Dynamic Force Feedback: on-the-fly Force Feedback level adjustment (3 preset modes included) via the screen, compatible with all games
Thrustmaster’s claim of up to 70% more power compares the T248 with the earlier T150 or TMX, depending on the product page. It is not a comparison with the Logitech G923, and the cited T248 pages do not provide a torque figure directly comparable with Logitech’s 2.3 Nm listing.
What the Logitech G923 offers
Logitech lists the G923 with dual-motor force feedback, 900-degree lock-to-lock rotation, and a nonlinear brake pedal. Its headline feature is TRUEFORCE, which Logitech describes as connecting wheel feedback to a game’s physics and audio. The degree and nature of that feedback depend on the game: Logitech says games use TRUEFORCE differently, and advanced features require game integration. Check whether your particular title supports it rather than assuming every game provides the same effect.
Rank #2
- Premium design with leather wrapping on the outer-facing portion of the wheel
- Versatile sim racing shifter for all types of vehicles with manual shifting (rally, trucks, GT, NASCAR)
- Versatile wheel shape, well-suited to all racing game styles
- "H"-pattern shift plate with 7 gears plus reverse gear, with direct gear shifting
- Up to 25 action buttons including 2 dual-position encoders on PC
Logitech lists 2.3 Nm for the G923. That number does not prove the G923 is stronger than the T248: the cited Thrustmaster material does not give a directly comparable T248 torque measurement.
Which wheel should you buy?
Choose the T248 if its controls and adjustments suit you
- You want the built-in display and its listed settings or telemetry options.
- You value magnetic paddle shifters and three selectable force-feedback presets.
- You want the T3PM pedals’ four brake-pressure modes.
Choose the G923 if you want supported TRUEFORCE feedback
- You play a title that specifically supports TRUEFORCE and want to use that integration.
- You prefer the G923’s listed dual-motor feedback, 900-degree rotation, and nonlinear brake pedal.
If your console is fixed, compatibility comes first; then compare the features you will actually use. The available manufacturer information supports a feature-based recommendation, not an objective verdict on overall performance or value. Current street prices are not established here, so compare the exact compatible variants at the time you buy.

Check game support before buying
Wheel compatibility and individual features are not the same thing: a game may support a wheel without supporting every advanced feedback feature. For the T248, consult Thrustmaster’s support page for platform-specific manuals, drivers, firmware, and game settings. For the G923, use Logitech’s specifications and compatibility information and check the game’s own support details. Logitech’s TRUEFORCE overview explains that the feature depends on game integration.
