Make it with 4 Raw Meat, 4 Bird Eggs, 3 Butter, and 2 Flour. Its recipe unlock level is disputed by current guides, so check Mondstadt Reputation rewards in-game before relying on a specific level.
What Moon Pie does
Moon Pie is a cooked food described in-game as a traditional Mondstadt staple made with pickled meat and meringue. Its normal-quality effect increases all party members’ Shield Strength by 30% and DEF by 200 for 300 seconds. In Co-Op Mode, the buff applies only to the character or characters controlled by the player who eats it.
The effect varies by cooking quality:

Ingredients and how to cook Moon Pie
The recipe requires these ingredients:
- 4 Raw Meat
- 4 Bird Eggs
- 3 Butter
- 2 Flour
Once you have the recipe, cook Moon Pie at a cooking station using those ingredients. The game’s cooking minigame determines whether the result is Suspicious, normal, or Delicious, which changes the strength of the buff.

Where to get the recipe
Moon Pie’s recipe is a Mondstadt Reputation reward from Hertha, but published guides disagree about the required reputation level. The Genshin Impact Wiki lists Level 7; Game8 lists Level 8 on a guide marked updated February 3, 2026. Honey Hunter’s item entry does not state an unlock level. Since these sources do not settle the discrepancy, check Hertha’s current reputation reward list in-game rather than treating either level as definitive.
Eula’s special dish: Stormcrest Pie
Cooking Moon Pie with Eula can produce her special dish, Stormcrest Pie. It provides 40% Shield Strength and 282 DEF for 300 seconds, making it stronger than a normal-quality Moon Pie on both listed effects. The Genshin Impact Wiki lists these values.
