Progression and access problems
- “Grill a Meal” and “Ingredient Center” could fail to unlock even after players met the required progress criteria.
- Players could fall through the map while heading to Azuz during Main Mission: Chapter 2-1, “Toward Fervent Fields.”
- The Monster Field Guide could become inaccessible.
- An NPC could fail to appear during Main Mission: Chapter 5-2, “A World Turned Upside Down,” blocking progress.
- Repeated Smithy tutorials could disable menu options.
- Meal Invitations at Azuz and Sild could fail to unlock. Notifications or the Environment Overview could also show an invitation that was unavailable; the notes say mitigation measures were implemented.
Combat, skills, and equipment
- Under certain conditions, a lance Power Guard could display a red flash without activating its effect.
- A mantle could incorrectly activate a Weapon Equipment Skill. Some skill effects could remain displayed continuously, and skills could activate unintentionally in certain circumstances.
- An Insect Glaive hunter could freeze after using an Offset Attack with Descending Slash under certain conditions.
- Equipment Loadout could remove decorations, reset Bowgun Customization, or revert Kinsects to their initial rarity.
- Severed monster parts could change into a part from another monster.
- Gravios could fail to gain flinch resistance after its parts were broken. The notes also say Gravios’s flinch resistance was slightly adjusted in this version.
- Palico’s “Attract Vigorwasps” support move could leave the hunter unresponsive to some controls.
Stability, rewards, and interface
- Certain screen-rendering issues could force the game to quit. Other conditions could cause crashes or abnormal monster behavior.
- Some items or rewards could be obtained repeatedly; fish near an attempted capture-net catch might not swim away; and certain environmental features, including floating rubble, could activate multiple times.
- During Main Mission: Chapter 5-2, “The Root Cause,” speaking with a certain NPC could leave the hunter unresponsive to some controls.
- Only the first 20 quests could display correctly while scrolling the quest list.
- Starting the game with save data that had encountered a force quit could cause another forced shutdown.
Restart the game after installing the update
The reproduced patch instructions say: “Please ensure you restart the game after updating your game to Ver. 1.000.05.00.” Close and restart the game after the update so the fix can be applied.
Known issues listed on March 10, 2025
The same notes identified the following as known issues on the update’s release date:
#1 Best Overall
- Wild New Adventure – Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a special Research Commission investigating the Forbidden Lands. Fully voiced for the first time in the series, the hunter is joined in their journey by a colorful cast of characters, including a Palico partner, Guild-appointed Handler Alma, trusty smithy Gemma, and the mysterious child Nata. Together, the team ventures into an unexplored new frontier where surprises await around every corner.
- A Living World – The Forbidden Lands spans multiple biomes with dynamic identities, such as the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, where the ecosystems shift between vibrant seasons brimming with life, and unforgiving climates where monsters fight over limited resources. Changes in the landscape will impact the creatures that live there and push hunters to adapt as well.
- New Monsters and Wildlife – Monster Hunter Wilds features a variety of new creatures, ranging from herds of small species to large monsters – some of which roam the Forbidden Lands in packs. Every creature hunters encounter in the wild has carved out a special place in its habitat and possesses unique attacks and behaviors.
- Players can also now ride atop the Seikret, an agile new mount enabling hunters to traverse difficult terrain, perform actions like sharpening weapons on the move, and switch between two weapons while out on hunts!
- Evolved Hunting Action – The series’ acclaimed action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can look forward to tracking down monsters with an array of new moves, special abilities, equipment, and more. The action also now flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
- A network error could occur after firing an SOS flare just after a quest began.
- Link Members might not be prioritized or might not appear in some locations, including Base Camps.
- Palico blunt attacks might not inflict stun or exhaust damage.
- Players could occasionally encounter problems editing their Hunter Profile.
- Some side missions could be impossible to complete in certain situations.
These are dated to March 10, 2025; the notes do not establish whether each issue remains in later versions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Did this patch improve performance?
No performance improvement is announced in the Ver. 1.000.05.00 notes. The listed rendering and crash fixes address stability problems, but they are not evidence of higher frame rates, better frame times, or broader PC optimization. The patch list includes no benchmark data, so it cannot establish how performance changed for players.

- Hunt giant nature-infused bests – Survive their attacks, learn from their behaviors, and use your Karakuri and your weapons in combination to cut these creatures down to size.
- Craft your hunting grounds – You are the only one in Azuma able to wield the Karakuri technology.
- Hunt in a pack, or be a lone wolf – In WILD HEARTS you can face the Kemono alone or unite with up to two friends (or other players) to stalk and hunt your prey.
- Gear up to hunt, hunt to gear up – Create your character, then gather materials from each hunt and build an array of armor and weapons.
