New hunts: Lagiacrus and Seregios
The update adds hunts for Lagiacrus and Seregios, the two named monster additions in Capcom’s announcement. Capcom’s June 30, 2025 release announcement presents them as the update’s main content additions.
Layered weapons and additional systems
Layered weapons and additional systems are also listed among the headline content. The overview does not specify every included system change or explain the full unlock requirements for layered weapons.

Steam party-ID conveniences
A July 2, 2025 overview from the Monster Hunter Community Team documents two Steam-specific quality-of-life additions for grouping with other players:
- Copy a Lobby ID or Hunter ID from the Start Menu.
- Copy a Squad ID from the Squad Menu.

When did Title Update 2 come out?
Capcom announced Title Update 2 as available on June 30, 2025. Its announcement also listed the Flamefete seasonal event for July 23 through August 6, 2025, and an Arch-tempered Uth Duna event quest planned to start July 30. Those were dates on the 2025 schedule, not upcoming events.
Do you have to buy Title Update 2?
No. The update is free content for Monster Hunter Wilds; it is not a separate paid DLC purchase. Players who do not own the game need the base game to play it. Capcom lists Monster Hunter Wilds for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The cited product information gives the Japanese-market base game release date as February 28, 2025; that date is not a Title Update 2 release date.

Can you play the game solo or with other players?
The Monster Hunter Community Team’s overview says most of the story and nearly all quests can be played solo or in multiplayer. It lists Lobby, Link Party, Environment Link, and SOS Flare options. These are general play and grouping options described in the overview, not features identified as additions from Title Update 2.
