Capcom scheduled the first free Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update for April 4, 2025. Its announcement highlighted Mizutsune, the Grand Hub, Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, and the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance. Capcom also set Title Update 2 for summer 2025; it later confirmed that update launched on June 30, 2025.
When did Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 come out?
Capcom’s March 31, 2025 announcement scheduled the first free Title Update for April 4, 2025. The official Capcom Europe video description gave the date as April 4 BST. Capcom’s press release also said April 4 but did not specify a time zone in the cited passage, so it does not establish a universal launch time.

Capcom described the update as adding “a fan-favorite monster” and the Grand Hub, a new in-game settlement for gathering and communicating. The announcement covered content planned for the update; it was not a full set of patch notes.
What was announced for Title Update 1?
Capcom Europe’s March 25 video description named these additions and events:

- Wild New Adventure – Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a special Research Commission investigating the Forbidden Lands. Fully voiced for the first time in the series, the hunter is joined in their journey by a colorful cast of characters, including a Palico partner, Guild-appointed Handler Alma, trusty smithy Gemma, and the mysterious child Nata. Together, the team ventures into an unexplored new frontier where surprises await around every corner.
- A Living World – The Forbidden Lands spans multiple biomes with dynamic identities, such as the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, where the ecosystems shift between vibrant seasons brimming with life, and unforgiving climates where monsters fight over limited resources. Changes in the landscape will impact the creatures that live there and push hunters to adapt as well.
- New Monsters and Wildlife – Monster Hunter Wilds features a variety of new creatures, ranging from herds of small species to large monsters – some of which roam the Forbidden Lands in packs. Every creature hunters encounter in the wild has carved out a special place in its habitat and possesses unique attacks and behaviors.
- Players can also now ride atop the Seikret, an agile new mount enabling hunters to traverse difficult terrain, perform actions like sharpening weapons on the move, and switch between two weapons while out on hunts!
- Evolved Hunting Action – The series’ acclaimed action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can look forward to tracking down monsters with an array of new moves, special abilities, equipment, and more. The action also now flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
- Mizutsune: The fan-favorite monster was named as a new hunt.
- Zoh Shia: The description also mentioned a hunt and gear connected to this monster.
- Grand Hub: A new settlement where players could gather and communicate.
- Arch-Tempered Rey Dau: The announcement previewed this more challenging version of the monster.
- Festival of Accord: Blossomdance: A seasonal event included in the feature list.
The video description also previewed a further update in May with a Capcom-series collaboration and additional features. These are announcement-level details; the sources cited here do not establish patch size, every technical change, or platform-specific download timing.
When was Title Update 2 released?
Capcom’s March 31 announcement scheduled the second free Title Update for summer 2025. Capcom later confirmed that TU2 launched on June 30, 2025, adding hunts for Lagiacrus and Seregios, weapon layered equipment, and other systems. That confirms the announced summer window was met; TU2 is not still upcoming.

The later confirmation was published in a Capcom-authored Japanese release. Its event schedule and trial details were specific to Japan, so those local dates and conditions should not be applied to other regions.
What platforms is Monster Hunter Wilds on?
Capcom released Monster Hunter Wilds for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Capcom described crossplay as enabling players on different platforms to play together. The Title Updates discussed here were free; the announcement did not present them as separate purchases.

How many copies had Monster Hunter Wilds sold?
Capcom reported more than 10 million worldwide sales of Monster Hunter Wilds by March 31, 2025. The company also reported more than 108 million cumulative sales for the Monster Hunter series as of December 31, 2024. These are dated snapshots, not current 2026 totals.
