MotoGP 26 launched on April 29, 2026. PlayStation’s announcement trailer, published March 5, gave that date, and MotoGP’s April 29 launch article reported that the game was out. What is new in MotoGP 26?
Rider-based handling and Dynamic Rider Ratings
MotoGP says rider movement and weight transfer now have a tangible effect on stability, cornering, and braking. The publisher describes the result as more natural and responsive; that is its description, not an independent assessment of how the handling performs in play. Career management and real-rider starts
The career additions center on a Personal Manager and the choices around a rider’s future. Players can negotiate contracts, build relationships with teams and manufacturers, and engage with a Transfer Market. Race Off adds Canterbury Park and Production Bikes

Unlockables and design editors

How do multiplayer and local play work?
MotoGP’s launch announcement describes cross-play, improved matchmaking, online grids of up to 22 players, and returning split-screen. The Nintendo versions have stated exceptions:
- Nintendo Switch: no cross-play; online grids are limited to 12 riders.
- Nintendo Switch 2: no cross-play; online grids are limited to 16 riders.
- Created content on Nintendo: cross-platform sharing of user-created content is unavailable on both Switch systems.

The announced platforms differ in online features, particularly on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
