The free The Sims 4 event ran from June 24 to August 5, 2025, and it cannot currently be started or completed. The historical guide below explains how quests and reward claims worked, and what the event offered. Any rewards left unclaimed by the deadline were lost.
How Nature’s Calling worked
While the event was active, players needed to be online and signed in to an EA Account. Opening a new or existing household in Live Mode started the first quests through an on-screen prompt. Quests consisted of objectives; completing objectives earned Event Points, and finishing an entire quest awarded additional points. Points accumulated and were not spent when claiming rewards.

EA scheduled the event for six weeks: two new quests became available each week during the first four weeks, followed by two catch-up weeks. Players who joined late could access earlier quests. EA stopped adding new quests after July 22, 2025, but players could finish existing quests and claim earned rewards through August 5.
Historical quest and reward steps
- Launch The Sims 4 online and sign in to the EA Account used to play.
- Open a household in Live Mode and follow the quest prompt. Objectives and any available tips appeared in the quest panel; a completion notification guided players to the next step.
- Open the Event Screen from the Main Menu’s Events tab or the Event icon in Live Mode to check progress and available reward claims.
- Select Claim for an available reward. Consumable rewards had to be claimed in Live Mode.
These are the event’s historical steps, not a way to restore it. EA’s current general event instructions describe the same broad Events-tab, Live Mode, and quest-prompt flow, but do not make Nature’s Calling available again. EA announced the event schedule and rules in its May 27, 2025 Nature’s Calling announcement.

- Requires The Sims 4 & all game updates. For PC, see minimum system requirements for the pack.
- Develop Parenting Skills – Level up your Sim’s parenting skills to satisfy their child’s needs and influence their behaviors. Gain new abilities through experience and choosing when to discipline bad actions, encourage good behavior, or just let kids be kids.
- Shape Your Sim’s Childhood – The decisions you make influence how your Sim parents and leave a lasting impact on their child’s future. Each choice shapes their personality, affects their traits, influences their family relationships, and guides their path into adulthood.
- Gather your Sim’s family to participate in new activities and spend quality time with each other. Sims of all ages can work together to complete a variety of school projects, express their creativity using construction blocks, or volunteer their time for good.
- Customize your Sims’ looks and their home with new family fashion and build items. Give the kids’ bedrooms extra personality, remodel the kitchen to feel homier, and let your Sims express their sporty or artistic sides with new outfits.
Optional goals and expansion packs
Optional goals offered bonus Event Points; they were not required to finish quests or earn any non-consumable reward. EA said all non-consumable rewards would be earnable by all Simmers, and that the optional goals were not required to complete the quests.
The optional goals were associated with four packs: Cats & Dogs, Snowy Escape, Horse Ranch, and Lovestruck. The relevant pack had to be installed to access its associated goal. Bonus points could help players unlock rewards faster and reach additional consumables, including Simoleons, Aspiration Points, and potions.

- Create Vampires
- Unleash Supernatural Powers
- Escape to Forgotten Hollow
- Live the Immortal Life
Players seeking those bonus points needed to complete optional goals before the required goals for that week: optional goals disappeared when the associated weekly quest was completed. Buying a pack now does not restore the expired event or its rewards.
Nature’s Calling rewards by week
EA’s announcement listed four main rewards per week. The listed recipes are unlockable content, while the other names identify in-game rewards.

Claimed rewards are tied to the EA Account used to earn them. EA Help says signing in to that same account after reinstalling the game preserves earned gameplay-event rewards. For claimed Build Mode and Create a Sim items, use the Special > Event Rewards filter; event items are marked with a Plumbob icon. Consumables and collectibles are claimed in Live Mode and appear in a Sim’s personal inventory. EA says collectibles that are sold or deleted can be purchased through Buy Mode.
