Did a former Rockstar developer leak GTA 6 gameplay?
There is no established evidence in the available reporting that Vermeij leaked or provided the footage. The headline can make two distinct events sound like one: an alleged leak attributed in reporting to an anonymous account, and a former developer’s opinion about the leak.
Axios reported that an anonymous account using the name LEEK shared clips that seemingly showed GTA VI gameplay. The account’s identity and the clips’ descriptions are reporting, not independently established facts. The company said: “It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.” Game Developer

The statement confirms that gameplay videos leaked. It does not authenticate each clip, identify its source, or confirm online claims about the footage or the build it came from.
How does the leak compare with Rockstar’s official footage?
