How do the 4v4 battles work?
Each match pits four players against four. Players choose Dragon Ball characters, defeat enemies to earn experience, and level up during the match. Leveling unlocks skills and improves attack range and power, so characters develop as the battle unfolds.
The teams fight for control of the map and aim to capture enemy strongholds. The stated final objective is to seize the Dragon Ball hidden in the opposing team’s territory. Is it a MOBA?
Not by its official genre label: the Dragon Ball Official Site calls it a “Super Team Battle.” It does share several features commonly associated with MOBAs—teams contesting a map, character progression within a match, and objectives that require coordinated play. “MOBA-like” describes those similarities; it should not be taken to mean the game follows the full format or rules of a particular MOBA.

The game launched September 10, 2025, and is free to play. Official listings name Steam, the App Store, Google Play, PlayStation 5 and 4, and Nintendo Switch. The official game page says cross-play and cross-save are supported, allowing players to play across supported platforms and carry progress between them. Choosing a platform is therefore mostly a matter of where you prefer to play and where your friends are. The official listings confirm mobile, PC, and console versions, but do not establish comparative performance, device requirements, or compatibility with specific third-party mobile controllers.
Is the game still receiving official coverage?
Yes, based on Dragon Ball Official Site coverage through September 2026: it announced Season 6 for July 8, 2026, and published Season 7 content in September 2026.
