How the Strands hints work
Strands uses a 6-by-8 letter grid. Connect adjacent letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to make words that fit the theme. Finding three words that are not theme answers earns an in-game hint. The spangram summarizes the theme and runs between two opposite sides of the board; it may consist of two words. Parade’s Strands guide and Parade’s explanation of the spangram describe these mechanics.
