If you investigate a community patch or wrapper, verify that it is intended for your exact release and obtain it only from a source you can assess. Keep an unmodified copy of your game files and change one thing at a time so you can undo a change if it makes matters worse. Could the frame rate problem be part of the game?

A practical way to narrow the problem
- Identify the platform. Confirm whether you are running the Windows or PlayStation release.
- Name the symptom. Distinguish low or uneven frame rate from a launch failure, graphics fault, or control problem; the available Windows 11 report concerns poor performance, not every possible fault.
- For the PC release, consult its Help file if available. The original reference card says it was included on the CD; do not rely on the card’s old support contacts as current.
- Treat modern community fixes as experiments, not established remedies. Check compatibility with your game build and the file’s provenance, preserve originals, and test one change at a time.
