Don’t confuse the update with January’s Essential games
The January 21 announcement was the Extra and Premium Game Catalog update. January’s separate Essential monthly selection—Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe—was announced on January 1 and became available January 7. Those three titles are not part of the January 21 list.

The nine catalog games were announced for Extra and Premium members; the two classics were announced for Premium. Sony said its catalog and Premium/Deluxe lineups may differ by region and advised checking the local PlayStation Store on release day. The January 2025 announcement establishes what was added then, not which games remain in the catalog today.
