Bandai Namco’s official site lists an Undertaker Character Trailer separately from an Undertaker Gameplay Reveal, so the two videos should not be confused. The character materials describe a strength-and-faith fighter built around a cudgel-like hammer, close-range pressure and abilities that can create extra opportunities to use her Ultimate Art.

Bandai Namco’s official Nightreign page lists “The Forsaken Hollows | Undertaker Character Trailer” and “The Forsaken Hollows | Undertaker Gameplay Reveal” as separate videos. The page does not give the character trailer’s publication date or a transcript, so its specific scenes and timing cannot be established from the listing.

The trailer introduces a Nightfarer whose official character description casts her as an abbey’s answer to encroaching darkness. Bandai Namco describes her strength and faith as equally matched; the gameplay guide provides the clearest account of how her named abilities work.
Who is the Undertaker in Nightreign?
The Undertaker is one of two Nightfarers introduced in The Forsaken Hollows, alongside Scholar. Her default weapon is a cudgel-like hammer. Bandai Namco says it attacks faster than Raider’s great axe and can break heavy armor and shields with persistent attacks. That points to a melee-focused play style: stay close, keep attacking, and use pressure against heavily protected enemies.

What are the Undertaker’s abilities?
The official Nightreign Gameplay Guide lists Trance as her skill, Loathsome Hex as her Ultimate Art and Confluence as her passive.
Trance
Bloodletting triggers a loathsome hex and increases the Undertaker’s agility. Repeated attacks can then raise her attack power. When the Ultimate Art gauge is exhausted, Trance activates an additional hex.
Loathsome Hex
Her Ultimate Art draws uncanny bone from her body, propels her toward a target and strikes. Bandai Namco describes it as enabling quick attacks and airborne movement, giving the move both an offensive and a mobility function.

Confluence
Confluence can allow an additional art activation when an ally uses an Ultimate Art, regardless of the Undertaker’s gauge. It can also activate when she absorbs certain attacks imbued with darkness. In practice, the passive connects her opportunities to use an art with both team actions and particular enemy attacks.

The Undertaker is included in The Forsaken Hollows DLC, released December 4, 2025, according to Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s availability announcement. The expansion also adds Scholar, two bosses and additional Shifting Earth content.
The DLC and the base game are separate purchases. Bandai Namco’s official listing states that The Forsaken Hollows does not include the base game. Check that you own ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN as well as the expansion on your platform to access its added Nightfarers.
Platforms and game context
Bandai Namco describes ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN as a standalone adventure with three-player co-op. Its official site lists the game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The DLC announcement lists The Forsaken Hollows for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam; platform availability can differ by product listing, so check the store for your specific edition.
