On March 12, 2026, Battlestate Games introduced an Escape from Tarkov event featuring a reported 100% boss-spawn rotation on Reserve and a Smuggler mission called “Bulldogs Under the Rug.” The event is historical coverage: sources available on October 8, 2026 do not confirm whether it is still active.
What the March 2026 event included
Insider Gaming reported that the event’s boss-spawn rotation was set to 100% on Reserve. That figure describes the reported gameplay setting for this event, not a permanent Reserve rule. The same report said the event was playable in both PvP and PvE: Insider Gaming’s March 12, 2026 report.
What “Bulldogs Under the Rug” asked players to do
The reported Smuggler mission involved eliminating a smuggler and finding their camp. According to the report, eliminated smugglers could provide a key for “Locked Case” items. The article does not provide a complete quest chain, step-by-step walkthrough, or verified reward list, so those details cannot be established from this coverage.
Is the event still live?
Its end date and status on October 8, 2026 are not confirmed by the available sources. The March report establishes what was announced at that time, but does not show that the event remains active in either PvP or PvE. Check current in-game event notices or Battlestate Games announcements before planning a raid around these mechanics.

How this differs from the later all-map event
A separate Insider Gaming report dated July 29, 2026 covered a later event with boss spawns on all maps. That is distinct from the March event, whose reported 100% boss-spawn rotation applied to Reserve. The later report is here: Insider Gaming’s July 29, 2026 story.
