Monster Summer: Escape launched on Roblox on September 13, 2024, as a promotional tie-in to the film Monster Summer. Developed by Soma Games with Pastime Pictures, the experience mixed exploration and minigames with film-related extras. The launch announcement also promoted a trailer reveal inside the game.
What is Monster Summer: Escape?
Monster Summer: Escape is a Roblox experience based on the film Monster Summer. Soma Games says it partnered with Pastime Pictures to create the game, extending the movie’s spooky summer setting on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The game’s September 13, 2024 launch was promoted ahead of the film’s then-scheduled October 4, 2024 theatrical release.
At launch, GamesBeat reported that up to four players could play together. That is a launch-era report, not confirmation of the experience’s current player limit.
What could players do in Monster Summer: Escape?
The launch announcement presented a mix of exploration, challenges, and film tie-in content:

How did the hidden level work?
In an October 3, 2024 announcement, Pastime Pictures said viewers could find a clue in the film’s end credits and use it to unlock a hidden game level with additional quests and rewards. It was a promotional link between the movie and Roblox; the announcement does not establish that the theatrical clue can still be obtained or redeemed.

Is Monster Summer: Escape still available?
The cited launch coverage and announcements establish the experience’s 2024 release and advertised features, but do not confirm whether it remains playable now. They also do not verify the film’s current availability to watch. Treat the details above as a record of the launch-era experience rather than a guarantee about current access.
