EA SPORTS NHL 26 Update 1.6 fixes an obstructed Be A Pro camera at the Delta Center, a Threes Eliminator crash that could occur after a user was kicked, and an occasional post-draft Box Scores soft lock. The arena fix is specific to one mode and venue; it is not a general arena redesign.
What did NHL 26 Update 1.6 fix?
EA announced Update 1.6 on March 23, 2026. Its notes list these changes:

- Be A Pro arena camera: Fixed camera obstruction at the Delta Center, identified in the notes as the Utah Mammoth home stadium.
- Threes Eliminator crash: Fixed a crash that could happen after a user was kicked from a game.
- Post-draft Box Scores soft lock: Fixed an occasional soft lock while navigating Box Scores after a draft. EA described this as a soft lock, not a crash.
- World of Chel screens: Added player banners and teams to the Mute List and Post-Intermission Pause screens; fixed scrolling on the “Waiting for All Users to Resume” screen; and fixed a loading issue when tabbing in World of Chel.
- Uniform: Added the Indy Fuel third uniform. This is a uniform addition, not an arena update.

Did the update fix the arena camera and crashes?
Yes, but the notes define the scope precisely. The arena-related fix concerns an obstructed camera in Be A Pro at the Delta Center. The crash fix concerns one trigger in Threes Eliminator: being kicked from a game. The separate Box Scores issue was an occasional soft lock after a draft. The notes do not claim that Update 1.6 overhauls arenas or resolves every camera, crash, or stability problem in the game.

How Update 1.6 fits the earlier NHL 26 fixes
Earlier updates addressed other issues and should not be mistaken for changes introduced in 1.6:

Deployment timing and update requirements
EA planned to deploy Update 1.6 on March 24, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET. Its notes warned: “Please complete all online games before this time as server instability is expected up to an hour after the patch deployment.” That was advance guidance for the March deployment, not a current server-status report.
EA’s NHL 26 page lists Update 1.6 as the newest update on the page accessed October 8, 2026. The game is sold separately from updates, and EA says it requires all game updates, an internet connection, and an EA Account. Availability and store listings may change.
