How Connections works
Connections presents 16 words and asks players to arrange them into four groups of four based on shared links. Words may appear to fit more than one category, so a board shuffle can help reveal a less obvious connection. The Forbes guide describes yellow as usually easiest, blue and green as intermediate, and purple as typically hardest; that is a general guide, not a guaranteed difficulty order for every player.
Forbes published its May 2 answer guide on May 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. EDT. A third-party archive also lists the date as Connections #334 and records the same category themes: Wordle.today’s May 2, 2024 archive.
