Spoilers: answers for #793
Stop here if you do not want the complete solution. The four answer groups are:
- Groups of ten: BOWLING PINS, COMMANDMENTS, DECADE, FINGERS.
- Places with lanes: BOWLING ALLEY, HIGHWAY, SUPERMARKET, SWIMMING POOL.
- Landmarks in downtown NYC: BOWLING GREEN, BROOKLYN BRIDGE, CITY HALL, WALL STREET.
- Things with holes: BOWLING BALL, COLANDER, GOLF COURSE, SPONGE.
Why the bowling words are misleading
Each bowling-related entry belongs to a different group: BOWLING PINS are one of the groups of ten, BOWLING ALLEY is a place with lanes, BOWLING GREEN is a downtown NYC landmark, and BOWLING BALL is something with holes. The clue is to match each word to its category rather than assume the shared bowling association keeps them together.
