Where to search for Oilstone
Community location guides place Oilstone among the later Moonlit Forest resources. Start your sweep around Harvest Yard and Grain Haven, then check the later camps along the forest route. The guides describe broad areas, not a verified coordinate map, so a named area does not guarantee a deposit at a particular spot. The guides were checked against game version 1.0 on August 19, 2026; later updates may change locations or progression.
One community entry gives a different description: “Cave below Waterwheel.” The available guides do not establish whether that cave is the same area as the camp reports or a reliably fixed Oilstone location. Treat it as another place to investigate, not a confirmed pin.
How to reach the late-forest areas
Use the route landmarks to orient yourself rather than expecting Oilstone at every stop. The walkthrough traces a route from Azure Bay and Mural Valley to the Bronze Gate, then through Harvest Yard to the Waterwheel. Beyond the Waterwheel, it branches toward Grain Haven or Darkwater Shore and continues through later areas including Homeward Trail, Serenity’s Rest, and Moonlight Meadow. Oilstone is associated with this later part of the route, but the guide does not confirm a spawn in each named location.
What tool to bring
The ore guide recommends an Impact Hammer or a later tool as the practical starting point for mining Oilstone. It does not establish a consistent minimum tool tier for every late-forest ore, so do not treat a specific later pickaxe as a confirmed requirement. If the node resists your Impact Hammer, advance your tool tier and try again.

Make a broad sweep of the late route and check more than one camp instead of relying on a single supposed farm point. The guides do not establish an official Oilstone respawn timer, and player reports disagree. If a deposit is depleted, rotate to another candidate area and revisit later rather than planning around a fixed number of in-game days.
