The eShop wording reported in March 2025 did not name any Nintendo Switch 2 games. It described a Game Voucher restriction: the vouchers would not apply to games exclusive to Switch 2.
What did the reported eShop notice say?
TechTimes reported on March 10, 2025, that an eShop notice offered members savings on two digital games in the Game Voucher catalog, excluding games exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. TechTimes attributed the wording to ComicBook. The original Nintendo storefront change was not independently preserved in the available record, so the wording should be treated as a secondhand report—not as a verified Nintendo announcement of a game lineup.

The notice described which games would be excluded from a voucher offer. It did not identify a game, give a number of Switch 2 exclusives, or say which titles would launch with the system.
What does Nintendo confirm about Game Vouchers?
Nintendo Support’s eShop preorder and preload FAQ states that “Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers cannot be redeemed for games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 system.” The official rule confirms the practical restriction reported in the story: Switch 2-exclusive games are not eligible for redemption with those vouchers. Nintendo also says selected games and DLC may be preordered through Nintendo eShop.

Were the franchises in the article confirmed?
No. TechTimes mentioned franchises including Mario Kart, Super Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros., Metroid, F-Zero, Star Fox, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Advance Wars, Splatoon, Pikmin, Luigi’s Mansion, and Pokémon as games fans hoped to see. Those were speculative fan hopes, not titles named or confirmed by the reported notice.
How should later Switch 2 announcements be read?
Nintendo’s May 2026 investor presentation provides later context about announced first-party games for Switch 2 and distinguishes them from original Switch titles. That later lineup does not change what the March 2025 voucher wording said: it did not reveal game titles. Likewise, Nintendo’s October 6, 2026 release describes a Japan-only hardware bundle, not a game announcement tied to the earlier notice.

The answer to “Which titles?”
The reported update named no titles. It indicated only that Switch 2-exclusive games would be outside the referenced Game Voucher catalog. Any specific title attached to that March 2025 wording would go beyond what the notice established.
