Insider Gaming reported on January 9, 2025, that OpTic Gaming’s Halo Championship Series roster for the 2025 season would be FormaL, Bound, Renegade, and Lqgend. The outlet said OpTic had announced the lineup on social media; the roster details have not been independently corroborated here.
OpTic’s reported 2025 Halo roster
Insider Gaming’s January 9, 2025 report named four players: FormaL, Bound, Renegade, and Lqgend. It attributed the announcement to an OpTic social media post, but did not reproduce a statement from a named OpTic representative. Read the report at Insider Gaming.
- FormaL
- Bound
- Renegade
- Lqgend
Where the reported roster came from
The report said Bound and Lqgend were joining from Spacestation, while Renegade was coming from FaZe Clan. It did not identify FormaL’s previous team in the passage about the lineup, so no prior-team claim for him can be established from that account.
Why the lineup was framed as a “Super Squad”
“Super Squad” is headline language, not an established Halo Championship Series designation in the available account. Insider Gaming also noted that some observers had called the group a “God Squad”; neither phrase should be mistaken for an official league title or proof of competitive results.

The report set the roster against what it described as a difficult prior season for OpTic: no major wins and at least five second-place finishes. It said the team finished runner-up at every HCS Major and at the Halo World Championship. Those are Insider Gaming’s characterization of the previous season, rather than independently corroborated records here.

Published before the 2025 season began, Insider Gaming’s article previewed the lineup and raised questions about what it might accomplish. The source available for this account does not establish the roster’s subsequent season results, so predictions about its success should not be presented as outcomes.
