The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered requires 125 GB of available space on PC, according to its Steam listing. Steam and Bethesda also specify that an SSD is required. That 125 GB is the published storage requirement—not a confirmed download size or a measured installed footprint.
What Steam says about the PC storage requirement
Steam lists 125 GB of available space for Oblivion Remastered and marks an SSD as required. Bethesda Support lists the same 125 GB requirement for both the minimum and recommended PC configurations. You can check the current Steam listing and Bethesda’s PC system requirements before installing, since listed requirements may change.
Does 125 GB mean the download is 125 GB?
No. The official pages establish the amount of available storage required, but do not give a separate download size or report a measured installed size. Treat 125 GB as the space to have available on an SSD, rather than as a precise estimate of how much data Steam will download or the final folder size.

What to do if you do not have enough SSD space
- Check how much free space is available on the SSD where you plan to install the game. Compare it with the listed 125 GB requirement.
- If that drive lacks room, free space or choose another compatible SSD with sufficient available capacity. The requirement does not mean you need a particular drive model.
- Install the game on an SSD, not a hard disk drive. Bethesda’s PC performance troubleshooting guidance recommends an SSD and advises checking that the computer meets the minimum requirements.
- Before downloading, compare your processor, memory, graphics card, Windows version, and DirectX support with the official requirements.
