OREO and Xbox’s special-edition cookies were part of a limited-time promotion announced in January 2023—not a current Xbox product launch. Participating European packs featured six Xbox-inspired designs; scanning a pack and entering the symbols in the right sequence could unlock themed game content or give participants a chance to enter prize draws. Current pack availability and code validity are unverified.
How the OREO and Xbox promotion worked
Xbox presented the partnership as a way to bring a playful gaming mechanic off-screen. The special-edition cookies were embossed with six custom designs, including the Xbox logo and controller-inspired symbols such as A, B, X, Y and a directional arrow. The sequence mechanic borrowed from the idea of a cheat code: scan the pack, identify the symbols and submit them in the correct order through the campaign experience. Xbox Wire announced the campaign on January 9, 2023.
Entering a sequence could unlock OREO-themed in-game content. Xbox also described prize draws, with possible prizes including custom OREO hardware, Xbox consoles, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships and a family holiday. Prize availability was subject to regional terms.
Which games and rewards were involved?
Xbox named Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves and Halo Infinite as games receiving themed content. A January 2023 announcement from Mondelēz Spain gave these specific examples:

Where the cookies were offered
Xbox said the special packs would be available from January 2023 in participating European countries, while stocks lasted. Its announcement described the campaign as Europe-only and listed Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK. This was a regional promotion; it was not announced as a worldwide release.

Can you still buy a pack or redeem a code?
The campaign announcement is dated 2023 and does not establish present-day stock, a code redemption deadline or whether rewards can still be claimed. A pack offered for sale now would not, by itself, prove that its code remains valid. Treat current availability and redemption as unverified, and check the terms for any specific listing before buying it for the promotion.
Ordinary OREO cookies are not the Xbox promotional edition and have no verified eligibility for these rewards. The promotional packs were distinguished by their Xbox-themed designs and campaign mechanic.
