Windows is the platform covered by the published PC requirements. Steam specifies Windows 10 64-bit, while the Once Human official FAQ, accessed October 8, 2026, says the game currently supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, but not Windows 7.
Can your PC run Once Human?
Compare your processor and graphics card with the exact model names in the table, then check memory, DirectX support, Windows version, storage, and internet access. Meeting the minimum tier is the published baseline; the recommended tier is the stronger target. These requirements do not specify resolution, frame rate, or graphics settings, so they cannot tell you exactly how smoothly the game will run on a particular configuration.

- RAM: Steam lists 8GB minimum and 16GB recommended. The official FAQ also describes 8GB as the minimum for stable performance and advises closing unnecessary programs if memory is constrained.
- Graphics and processor: Use the exact model listed rather than assuming that a different card or processor is equivalent based only on its brand or product family.
- DirectX: The minimum tier lists DirectX 11; the recommended tier lists DirectX 12.
- Internet: Broadband is listed in both tiers, so the published requirements are for online play rather than an offline-only installation.
How much storage does Once Human need?
The official figures conflict. Steam lists 100GB of available storage for both minimum and recommended configurations; the official FAQ says the game requires 55GB. For a Steam installation, reserve the 100GB currently listed by Steam rather than treating the lower FAQ figure as the Steam requirement.
The FAQ attributes the game’s substantial storage use to HD images, textures, sound effects, and map files. It says the open-world design aims to render long viewing distances, and recommends an SSD to help load resources and improve smoothness. Steam also calls an SSD highly recommended. Neither source says an SSD is compulsory or specifies NVMe.

What to check if Once Human crashes or performs poorly
The official FAQ’s crash guidance is to update graphics drivers and check available memory and disk space. Those are troubleshooting checks, not a guarantee that a particular change will resolve every crash.
For a narrower case, the FAQ addresses Intel 13th- or 14th-generation K-suffix processors manufactured before May 2024 that have turbo boost. It suggests using Intel XTU to adjust the multiplier and says reducing it from 55 or 56 to 53 usually helps stabilize the processor under high load. This is a limited vendor suggestion for that processor subset, not a universal fix; consult the FAQ and your system or processor guidance before changing settings.
