Which games have firm release dates?
Metroid Ravenous — January 28, 2027
Nintendo describes Metroid Ravenous as a new 2D action-adventure exclusive to Switch 2. The announcement names standard and Special Editions. The Special Edition includes the game and a steel game case. Nintendo also announced Samus and Chozo Statue amiibo figures for launch. The announcement said preorders would begin then; that does not establish whether preorders remain available now, so check Nintendo or a retailer for current regional availability.
Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy — November 12, 2026
This is an edition of Pikmin 4 for Switch 2, paired with Dandori Academy, rather than an entirely new Pikmin game. Nintendo highlights voice-command support and new Dandori Academy features.

Nintendo UK gives a spring 2027 window for this new 3D Kirby adventure and describes it as a Switch 2 exclusive. A season is not a firm day-and-month release date.

Which rumored games are now confirmed?
Rumor status changes when a publisher makes an official announcement. The Ocarina of Time remake is one example: GamesRadar’s October 1, 2026 upcoming Switch 2 games roundup describes the remake as having followed speculation and rumors, then reports it as announced for November 5, 2026. It should therefore be treated as announced—not as an unconfirmed rumor—on the basis of that report.
That example does not verify other leaks. The cited Nintendo pages confirm the games they list; they do not provide an inventory of every current rumor or future Switch 2 release. A claim about an unannounced game needs its own attributable, dated report and should remain explicitly labeled unconfirmed until an official announcement supersedes it.

How to read the Switch 2 release lineup
Nintendo’s September Direct combines different kinds of releases, so “new Switch 2 games” can mean several things. A new game, an enhanced edition, a port or remaster, and an expansion pass are not interchangeable. Likewise, a firm date, a season, a year window and an undated platform confirmation represent different levels of certainty.
Nintendo’s May 8, 2026 investor presentation offers broader lineup context, but its scope is limited: the first-party chart covers titles already announced and planned for May 2026 and beyond, while the third-party lineup is presented as examples.
