To complete the Headaches Myth objective “Make a Ghostly Gall via Forge Tools at the blacksmith,” find the Craft Guide: Ghostly Gall on a corpse inside a house on Futamata Road, defeat the fleeing Nuppeppo for a Yokai Gallstone, then craft the medicine at the Eternal Rift blacksmith and deliver it to Tokugawa Ieyasu at Hamamatsu Castle.
How to start the Headaches Myth
Speak with Tokugawa Ieyasu at Hamamatsu Castle to begin Headaches. Walkthrough sources differ on the preceding mission: Nioh Wiki places it after Abundant Evil, Neoseeker says after starting the Abundant Evil Myth, and Nerd’s Chalk says it unlocks after Fated Land. Check your mission board or map after progressing the story rather than relying on a single prerequisite name. Nioh Wiki, Neoseeker, Nerd’s Chalk

Find Craft Guide: Ghostly Gall on Futamata Road
- Travel to the Tenryu River area and go through the unlocked gate north of Hamamatsu Gate toward Futamata Road.
- Search the intact house along the route. Loot the corpse inside to obtain Craft Guide: Ghostly Gall.
- Return to Hamamatsu Castle and report the discovery to Ieyasu, then continue to the castle objective.
Walkthroughs use different landmarks for the approach: Neoseeker describes passing two sets of stairs and finding the house before the Lesser Crucible; Nerd’s Chalk points to Silver Grass Meadow and says to head south from that shrine. The consistent target is the corpse in the house on Futamata Road. Neoseeker, Nerd’s Chalk
Defeat Nuppeppo for the Yokai Gallstone
At the castle grounds, Nuppeppo flees when approached. Chase and defeat it; walkthroughs report that it drops the Yokai Gallstone needed to make Ghostly Gall. Nioh Wiki, Neoseeker
#1 Best Overall
Neoseeker’s combat advice is to watch for recovery windows after Nuppeppo’s long-reaching arm attacks, ground slams, triple swipes, and belly flop. It also recommends using a Burst Break against the burst lunge. Treat these as that guide’s tactical suggestions, not as a complete or official move list. Neoseeker
Forge Ghostly Gall at the Eternal Rift blacksmith
- Fast travel to the Eternal Rift.
- Speak with the blacksmith and select Forge Tools.
- Find Ghostly Gall in the recipe list and craft it. You need both the Craft Guide: Ghostly Gall and the Yokai Gallstone.
Some walkthroughs describe an intermediate listing as “All Tools” or a quest/progress category. The shared instruction is to open Forge Tools and select Ghostly Gall from the available recipes. Nioh Wiki, Neoseeker, Nerd’s Chalk
