Why October 16’s answers aren’t available yet
Octordle’s official archive contains classic daily puzzles through yesterday, while the live daily page holds the current puzzle until the day ends. Because October 16 is still in the future relative to October 8, the archive cannot verify that day’s board. See the official archive and daily game.
The game and hints change at midnight UTC. Once the October 16 UTC rollover has occurred, use the official hints page and daily game to check the puzzle. A local calendar date may differ from the UTC puzzle date near midnight.
How Octordle hints and answers work
Classic Octordle presents eight five-letter answer boards and gives you 13 guesses. Each guess is entered across all eight boards. Teal marks a letter in the correct position, yellow marks a letter that appears elsewhere in that board’s answer, and gray marks a letter absent from that answer. These mechanics are described on the official game page.

The official hints page offers up to four clues for each board before a fifth reveal displays the full word and a short definition. The clues cover vowel count and repeated letters, followed by the first, last, and middle letters. Hint order matches board order in the daily game, so you can reveal clues gradually and stop before seeing a solution.
