After completing “The Saboteur of Paradise,” pick up the Order missive at the Landing Pad, play Presiding Ruth Basar’s message on the Incognito, and travel to Golden Ridge on Dorado. There, investigate the Zyranium Manufactory VII and N-Ray Range before heading to Seer Landon Wiley at the Monastery’s Observatory. The N-Ray Range switch solution is top-row switch two, plus bottom-row switches one and four.
Start the quest and reach Golden Ridge
- Complete “The Saboteur of Paradise,” then return to the Landing Pad and collect the Order missive from the courier.
- Board the Incognito and use the central console near Niles to play Presiding Ruth Basar’s message.
- Set a course for Golden Ridge on Dorado.
At Matriarch’s Mercy, speak with Aspirant Lechmere at the entrance, then find Abbot Josef Newell in the elevated building. Newell directs you to investigate the Zyranium Manufactory VII and the N-Ray Range. The walkthrough reports that he gives you a Writ of Investigative Inquiry for entry to the manufactory. The two investigations can be completed in either order; follow the in-game objectives for navigation through each location.
How to solve the N-Ray Range switch puzzle
Use the N-Ray Scanner to reveal the hidden wiring at the wall panel, then activate these switches:
- Top row: second switch.
- Bottom row: first and fourth switches.
The switches can be activated in any order, and failed attempts can be repeated without limit, according to PCGamesN’s puzzle guide. Be ready for enemies in the area beyond the opened door.

Decide whether to rescue the hostages
You can save the trapped hostages or leave them. A Game8 choices-guide excerpt reports that rescuing them increases the number of hostile automechs in the next main quest, “Fiends in High Places.” That makes this a trade-off between helping the hostages now and a reportedly tougher encounter later; the consequence is guide-reported, not independently verified here.
Choose how to handle Marisol and Svoboda
In the manufactory, a Game8 walkthrough excerpt reports a confrontation involving Initiate Ava, who reveals herself as Marisol, and Svoboda. The guide describes siding with Marisol as resulting in Svoboda’s death and granting access to her terminal and a route into the Toxic Effluvium Repository.
