- Look for an overdue subscription payment. Microsoft identifies unpaid subscription charges as a possible purchase issue.
- Check account status. Review whether your Microsoft account or Xbox account has a suspension that could affect purchases.
- Allow payment confirmation to open. Make sure a browser or pop-up blocker is not preventing a payment confirmation window from appearing.
- Try the official store again or contact support. If the error remains, use Microsoft’s purchase troubleshooting guidance and follow its direction to sales support for purchase problems.

Could this be an Xbox or Azure outage?
A temporary Azure-related purchase and installation interruption was reported on October 29, 2025, the game’s launch day. Windows Central reported that the incident had passed by October 30, 2025.
