TechJuice reported the specific dates as March 6–8, March 13–15, March 20–22, and March 27–29, 2026. Those exact ranges come from secondary reporting, rather than the official announcement. TechJuice’s report also describes the promotion as a celebration of relaunch success, but provides no quantified record or underlying attribution for that claim.
Is the Double XP bonus still available?
No. The March weekends have passed, so this was a historical promotion, not a currently claimable bonus.

How did the bonus fit into Season 1: Conquest?
Season 1: Conquest launched on February 10, 2026. Blizzard’s February 10 patch notes describe it as a five-week event built around a choice between Overwatch and Talon. Players completed faction-specific challenges and passes to earn faction and event rewards; end-of-week challenge-pass tallies determined the global faction result.
The Double XP announcement came during the season’s midcycle period. Blizzard also announced a separate run of Twitch Drops from March 10 through April 5, 2026. These offers worked differently: Double XP was an in-game bonus for weekend play, while Drops rewarded eligible Twitch viewing. Both date windows have ended.

What did Blizzard say about the relaunch?
Blizzard’s announcement thanked players for continuing to show up and described the season as strong so far, but it did not give a player-count record or establish that a measured record caused the Double XP promotion. TechJuice reported records on Steam and Twitch without a figure or original publisher attribution in the cited passage, so those claims should not be treated as verified statistics.
In a February 6, 2026 Director’s Take, game director Aaron Keller described the season as a new era focused on story and lore, with five new heroes. He wrote: “We’re pleased with the current state of Overwatch and think this is the next logical step for our team, our game, and our story to take.” That is developer commentary about the game’s direction, not a quantified relaunch result.
