Stadium changes by season, so its hero roster, item pool, and balance are not fixed. The official Stadium page lists 33 available heroes as checked October 8, 2026. Blizzard’s guides explain the core customization system, but they do not provide a complete, current list of every hero’s Stadium Powers or every Item’s price, effect, and eligibility. The roster and mechanics below are therefore a reliable guide to who is listed and how to read a build—not a claim to reproduce every live Armory entry.

Stadium is a 5v5, round-based mode in which you choose a hero for the match and customize that hero between rounds with Powers and Items. For the live details of a specific build, use the in-game Armory and stats panel.

Which heroes are in Stadium?

Blizzard’s official Stadium page lists these 33 heroes as of October 8, 2026:

  • Ana
  • Ashe
  • Brigitte
  • Cassidy
  • D.Va
  • Doomfist
  • Freja
  • Genji
  • Hazard
  • Jetpack Cat
  • Junker Queen
  • Junkrat
  • Juno
  • Kiriko
  • Lúcio
  • Mei
  • Mercy
  • Moira
  • Orisa
  • Pharah
  • Ramattra
  • Reaper
  • Reinhardt
  • Sigma
  • Sojourn
  • Soldier: 76
  • Torbjörn
  • Tracer
  • Vendetta
  • Winston
  • Wuyang
  • Zarya
  • Zenyatta

Blizzard says heroes are added over time and that seasons bring roster and balance updates, so this is a dated snapshot rather than a permanent lineup. The mode launched with 17 heroes, according to Blizzard’s Season 16 announcement; that launch figure is not the current roster count.

How do Stadium abilities, Powers, and Items differ?

Stadium keeps a hero’s standard kit as its starting point, then lets you modify the match build. It helps to separate three terms that can otherwise be confusing:

  • Standard abilities are the hero’s familiar base kit.
  • Powers are selected upgrades that alter an ability or add an effect. They are not the same thing as purchasable Items.
  • Items are upgrades bought with Stadium Cash in the Armory. They can supplement weapons, abilities, or survivability.

Blizzard’s Stadium guide describes the mode as 5v5 and round-based, with players earning Stadium Cash and buying upgrades between rounds. Its launch guide called the format best-of-seven, but that describes the original rules; later seasonal updates have added other formats and features, so the launch description should not be treated as the complete current ruleset.

What Powers can change

Powers can substantially change how a familiar ability works. Blizzard’s examples include Reinhardt sending lava across an arena with Firestrike and Kiriko creating a clone. Official hero pages also show examples such as Ana’s Fountain of Soothe, which spawns a Biotic Grenade from Sleep Dart; Sigma’s Astrophysical, which makes Quick Melee levitate an enemy; Winston’s Surge Protector, which heals allies inside Barrier Projector; and Tracer’s Alternate Ending, which lets Recall heal nearby allies based on recent damage taken. These are examples, not a complete or guaranteed-current list of available Powers.

For those examples, see Blizzard’s pages for Ana, Sigma, Winston, and Tracer. The pages surfaced here also include Doomfist, Freja, Reaper, Reinhardt, Torbjörn, and Wuyang; consult the live game for the full current hero-by-hero set.

How Stadium Items work

Items cost Stadium Cash and are equipped through the Armory. Blizzard groups them into Weapon, Ability, and Survival categories and lists Common, Rare, and Epic rarity tiers. Most Items can be used by multiple heroes, while some are hero-exclusive. The guide says a player can equip up to six Items and sell an equipped Item for its full purchase value.

Item detail What it tells you
Category Whether the upgrade focuses on Weapon, Ability, or Survival.
Rarity Whether the Item is Common, Rare, or Epic.
Price The Stadium Cash cost shown for that Item in the live Armory; a complete current price list is not established here.
Hero eligibility Whether the Item is available to your chosen hero; some are hero-exclusive.
Build effect Its effect on stats or abilities, viewed in the in-game stats panel.

Blizzard says the stats panel displays the effects of equipped Items, including health, attack speed, and cooldown reductions. Its guide to the Armory is useful for understanding the system, but it does not establish every current Item’s price, numerical effect, or hero restrictions. Blizzard’s Season 18 overview reported three new Items, ten major reworks, and nine balance updates for that update. Those are Season 18 changes, not totals for the current live Item catalog.

How to choose a Stadium build

There is no single best build for every match. Build strength depends on the hero, teammates, opponents, and the Powers you select; balance changes can also alter which choices are strongest. The official material cited here does not establish a current universal tier list or enough dated evidence to recommend one best build per hero.

  1. Start with the match job. Decide whether your hero needs more damage, ability uptime, or survivability for the team and matchup.
  2. Choose Powers that support that plan. Treat a Power as an ability-changing choice, then look for Items whose effects complement it rather than assuming every upgrade stacks well.
  3. Compare the live Item details. Check category, rarity, Stadium Cash cost, hero eligibility, and the listed effect in the Armory.
  4. Check the result in the stats panel. Inspect how equipped Items affect health, attack speed, cooldowns, and any other displayed stats.
  5. Adjust as the match changes. Since the guide says you can sell an equipped Item for its full purchase value, you can reallocate that purchase when a different need emerges.

For practice, Blizzard’s Season 18 midcycle update said bots could use Items and Powers. That is a dated feature note; check the current mode options to see which practice features are available now.

The roster above is the current hero list displayed on Blizzard’s Stadium page as checked October 8, 2026. The item categories, rarities, purchase system, equipment limit, resale rule, and several Power examples explain how the mode works. A complete per-hero table of standard abilities and every current Stadium Power, or a full catalog of Item prices, effects, and hero restrictions, cannot be established from the official references cited here. For exhaustive live details, check the current hero pages and Armory in-game rather than treating a partial list as complete.
