Updated October 8, 2026: Nintendo set May 21, 2026 as the release date for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, replacing its earlier “Spring 2026” window. Nintendo lists it as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. The date has passed; Nintendo’s cited pages confirm the scheduled date, but do not establish current retail availability in every region.
When did Yoshi and the Mysterious Book come out?
Nintendo announced on March 13, 2026 that Yoshi and the Mysterious Book would launch on May 21, 2026. That exact date superseded the “Spring 2026” window shown in Nintendo’s February 2026 investor-relations schedule. Nintendo’s date announcement and its current UK game page both give May 21, 2026.
Which console is it on?
Nintendo describes the game as exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. It is not listed for the original Nintendo Switch, so Switch 2 is required to play it. Nintendo’s announcement confirms exclusivity, and the UK title page identifies Switch 2 as the system. Nintendo announcement · Nintendo UK game page
