The five-loot-box Overwatch 2 Discord Quest is not established as a current promotion. The located offer was reported in February 2025, and a player said it appeared to have expired around February 24, 2025. Check Discord’s Quest Home for any currently available Overwatch Quest; the old offer’s reported requirements are historical, not current instructions.
What was the five-loot-box Discord Quest?
A player post on the Overwatch Forums dated February 18, 2025 described a Discord Quest that offered five Overwatch 2 loot boxes for playing the game for 15 minutes and then claiming a redemption code. The post and its replies also included reports of code-redemption and progress-tracking problems, so those steps should be understood as player-reported details of that particular promotion.
A February 25 reply said the Quest seemed to have expired earlier and reported February 24 as its end date. That was a player’s report, not a surviving official promotion-terms page. The available evidence therefore does not show that the same Discord Quest is active on October 8, 2026.
How to check whether an Overwatch Discord Quest is live
Discord says each Quest has its own acceptance and completion timeframe, and that availability can vary by region. Open Discord’s Quest Home and look for an Overwatch Quest. If it is not listed there, Discord says its completion and reward-claim period is over. Read the individual Quest card for its eligibility, deadline, tracking requirements and reward instructions.

For a Play Quest, Discord may require a specified amount of play time, streaming, or an in-game action. For play-time tracking, Discord says its desktop app must be running. Users accept a Quest from the Quest bar or Quest Home and claim a completed reward there; a partner-game reward may be a redemption code, with the Quest card identifying where to redeem it.
- Discord says mobile acceptance and tracking are in beta and available only for specific Quests.
- Some regions are ineligible, and Linux users currently cannot earn Quest rewards.
- These are general Discord Quest rules; they do not establish the terms of the 2025 Overwatch offer.
Current Overwatch reward options in October 2026
Blizzard has announced other reward activities for Season 5. They are separate from the old Discord Quest and use different platforms and actions.

The Twitch thresholds are viewing-time requirements for Blizzard’s October 2026 campaign, not play-time requirements. For the Twitch campaign’s precise eligibility and setup details, follow the instructions in Blizzard’s announcement and the campaign listing on Twitch.

Blizzard’s October 2026 Drops announcement says a Loot Box contains four randomly selected cosmetic items, with at least one Rare-or-higher item guaranteed. An Epic Loot Box guarantees at least one Epic-or-higher item. A promotional image showing a particular cosmetic does not guarantee that item will be in a box.

Blizzard announced the return of loot boxes in Season 15 in February 2025; that historical change explains why loot-box rewards appear in later promotions, but it does not show that a particular Discord offer remains available.
