The Overwatch 2 and Transformers crossover featured four hero skins: Reinhardt as Optimus Prime, Ramattra as Megatron, Bastion as Bumblebee, and Illari as Arcee. Blizzard released them as limited-time Premium Shop items on July 9, 2024. The original event has passed, and the official information available as of October 8, 2026, does not confirm that the skins have returned.
Which Overwatch 2 characters got Transformers skins?
Blizzard’s July 9, 2024 Season 11 midseason announcement named four hero-and-character pairings:
- Reinhardt as Optimus Prime
- Ramattra as Megatron
- Bastion as Bumblebee
- Illari as Arcee
These are the four skins described for the collaboration; the announcement does not establish any additional hero pairings.
What came with the crossover bundles?
The hero bundles included more than the themed skins. Blizzard listed additional Transformers-themed cosmetics: highlight intros, victory poses, player icons, and name cards. The announcement describes these as bundle contents but does not provide prices or a comparison of bundle value.

When were the skins available?
Blizzard’s July 9, 2024 retail patch notes described the skins as limited-time Premium Shop items. The notes also said the themed challenges ran through July 22, 2024. That date applies to the challenges; it does not establish a later shop window or return.
At launch, Xbox Wire also reported that players could get the Legendary skins through the in-game shop or Microsoft Store. This is historical launch information, not evidence of a current listing: Xbox Wire’s July 9, 2024 feature.
