On August 27, 2024, Nintendo aired two presentations back to back: an Indie World Showcase and a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. Both focused on games for Nintendo Switch; the Partner Showcase highlighted partner-developed and partner-published titles launching in the second half of 2024 and beyond. Here are the prominent announcements, plus the games Nintendo listed as available or demo-ready that day.
Was the August 2024 Nintendo Direct an Indie World?
It was both an Indie World and a Partner Showcase, presented consecutively on August 27. It was not a single standard mainline Nintendo Direct: the Indie World segment featured independent games, while the Partner Showcase focused on partner games for Switch. Nintendo’s event page and UK event page identify the presentations and their announcements.
