Aggro Crab said it could not add cannibalism to PEAK in a July 2, 2025 post on X. The brief statement offered no explanation, and a follow-up “hmm” reported by Insider Gaming does not confirm that the feature was reconsidered or added.

What Aggro Crab said about cannibalism in PEAK

On July 2, 2025, PEAK co-developer Aggro Crab posted: “guys we cant add cannibalism to PEAK”. Insider Gaming reported the post on July 3, describing it as a response to players asking for cannibalism as a game feature. The post is direct, but it does not say why the feature cannot be added. Insider Gaming’s report reproduces the post and selected replies.

How players responded

The report included replies from Chrissy, who wrote “PLEASE,” and savannahXYZ, who wrote “literally why not I just want a bite.” Those are individual examples of the joke and enthusiasm around the request; they do not establish how widely players wanted the feature.

What the “hmm” follow-up does—and doesn’t—mean

Insider Gaming also noted a later “hmm” from Aggro Crab. On its own, that short response is not confirmation of a reversal, a planned feature, or the reason for the original post. The available report does not confirm that cannibalism was subsequently implemented.

What PEAK is

PEAK is a solo or co-op climbing game about scouts trying to reach the summit of a mysterious island. Steam lists its release date as June 16, 2025. Aggro Crab describes it as a co-op survival climbing game made in collaboration with Landfall Games. Steam’s PEAK listing provides the game description and release date; Aggro Crab’s official site describes the collaboration.

What is still unknown

Neither the post as reported nor the cited game information explains the developers’ rationale. They do not establish a design or policy reason, or say what the studio may do with the idea later. The documented point is narrower: Aggro Crab said it could not add cannibalism, while the “hmm” does not show that the answer changed.
