Only PlayStation Plus Premium members were offered three months; Essential and Extra members were offered one month. The offer closed on April 2, 2026, and its separate code-redemption deadline was May 2, so it can no longer be claimed or redeemed.
What was the PlayStation Plus three-month freebie?
It was a promotional Discord Nitro trial for eligible PlayStation Plus subscribers. Discord’s official promotion terms, updated March 2, 2026, set the trial length by PS Plus tier:

The three months applied to Discord Nitro, not to a PlayStation Plus subscription. Essential and Extra members were not eligible for the three-month length. T3 also reported the promotion in February 2026, before the claim period ended: T3’s contemporaneous report.
Can you still claim or redeem it?
No. Discord’s terms set the claim period from March 3, 2026 at 2:30 PM GMT through April 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM GMT. A claimed voucher had to be redeemed by May 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM GMT. Both deadlines have passed.

How redemption worked
While the promotion was open, PlayStation provided a unique voucher code. The subscriber was directed to the PlayStation Plus promotion module and then followed the prompts to redeem the code on a Discord account. The code was tied to the account used for redemption and could not be transferred afterward, so it was important to be signed in to the intended account.

The trial converted to a paid monthly Nitro subscription when it ended unless canceled. A payment method was required to redeem it. Discord said it would place a temporary hold on the payment method and reverse it; the bank’s processing time could take a few business days. Anyone who redeemed the promotion needed to review the subscription settings and cancellation terms to avoid an unwanted renewal.
