PokéBeach reports that a U.S. McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion featuring Pokémon TCG cards is planned for November 5 through December 9, 2026. But the dates and details are preliminary: the official McDonald’s sources reviewed do not confirm a 2026 U.S. promotion. The report says the card names and artwork had not been revealed, so the specific “exclusive holo cards” are not yet identified.
What the 2026 McDonald’s Pokémon card report says
In a report dated September 27, 2026, PokéBeach says the U.S. promotion is planned to run from November 5 through December 9. It also says the promotion is expected in other countries, where dates may differ. These are reported plans, not dates confirmed by McDonald’s. PokéBeach’s report describes the information as preliminary and subject to change.
The report says the 2026 card identities were not known when it was published. It does not establish the final card count, how many cards will be holographic, or what foil treatment this year’s cards will use. It describes past McDonald’s Pokémon card packs as containing one holo and three non-holo cards, with a confetti holofoil treatment; that history does not confirm the 2026 pack configuration.
What might come with the Happy Meal
PokéBeach reports that customers may be able to choose between a Pokémon toy and a “Pokemon Essential Handbook.” It also mentions a possible card-display toy, but explicitly treats that as unconfirmed. The final toy or handbook contents have not been established by the official sources reviewed.

What the official 2025 U.S. promotion tells us—and what it doesn’t
McDonald’s official U.S. announcement for January 2025 provides a confirmed example of an earlier promotion: each Pokémon Happy Meal included a booster pack with four cards selected from 15 available Pokémon TCG cards, as well as a poster and sticker sheet. That confirms what was offered in 2025 only; it is not evidence that the reported 2026 promotion will have the same number of cards or contents. McDonald’s 2025 U.S. announcement quoted Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin: “There’s nothing more exciting than when we can bring campaigns to our fans with partners that we’re fans of ourselves,” referring to that campaign.
Why Japan’s Pokémon promotions are a separate story
McDonald’s Pokémon campaigns vary by country and year, so Japanese promotions should not be treated as confirmation of a U.S. TCG pack. In August 2025, McDonald’s Japan announced a separate Happy Meal toy campaign with a limited three-day giveaway of two cards: a Pikachu card with original artwork and one random card. The company said supplies were limited, cards were pre-packed and not selectable, and they might be distributed in another way later. McDonald’s Japan’s 2025 announcement describes that regional giveaway.

Likewise, McDonald’s Japan’s July 2026 announcement was for a separate summer collaboration involving food, Happy Meals and Pokémon GO. It does not announce the reported November U.S. Pokémon TCG card promotion. The Japan announcement concerns that summer campaign.

The reviewed official sources do not confirm the 2026 U.S. promotion. The report also does not establish the 2026 card names or artwork, final card or holo counts, this year’s foil treatment, participating stores, final toy or handbook contents, or dates outside the reported U.S. window. No card-value or scarcity estimate is supported by the cited sources, so claims that the cards will be rare or valuable would be speculation.
